Lil Wayne has announced a US club tour to promote his latest mixtape, Sorry 4 The Wait 2, and has also released a brand new video for his track ‘CoCo’, which you can watch below.
The rapper’s tour, dubbed his ‘Release Partiez’ tour, begins tonight in Tampa, FL and will run through May 31 in St. Louis, MO. More dates are expected to be added.
Last week, Lil Wayne made headlines after he stormed off stage during a show at Florida's Nova Southeastern University. The DJ apparently played the wrong version of 'CoCo' - Lil Wayne wanted the remix from his recent mixtape, but instead, the DJ played the the O.T. Genasis version. Weezy wasn't all too pleased, threw his microphone at the DJ and took off. You can watch footage of the tantrum below:
While it's unclear as to when Weezy's next album, Tha Carter V, will be released, following a battle with his record label Cash Money Records, he did recently hint that he might be releasing a free album some time soon.
To tide fans over until that possible release, Lil Wayne has dropped the video for his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 remix to ‘CoCo’, (the one that he had actually wanted played during that show), directed by Eif Rivera. While Lil Wayne's embroiled in a pretty heated fight with his label, the video seems rather applicable to his struggles, as the video depicts him trying to escape a metal cage of a prison.
