Placebo have announced that they will be re-issuing their landmark debut album on limited edition red vinyl for Record Store Day 2015.

The run of the band's smash self-titled debut will come re-mastered and on 180g red vinyl - but pressed to just 700 copies. Better get queuing on 18 April early, Placebo fans.

Released back in June 1996, Placebo contains the classics 'Nancy Boy', 'Come Home' and '36 Degrees', as well as fan favourites 'Bionic', 'Teenage Angst' and 'I Know'.

The band will then follow this up by re-issuing all of their albums to mark their 20th anniversary in the coming year. This follows them making their entire back catalogue available on streaming services across the course of a week back in February.

Co-Chair of the FAC (Featured Artists Coalition) Sandie Shaw said ”Placebo represent all that is great about artists today – twenty years of creativity, control of their own destiny, willingness to take risks, all of which has garnered a worldwide sustained career. They are a role model for young artists and an inspiration to us all”.
