2014 has barely begun and already we love it. Less than a fortnight into the New Year and already we've heard a number of brilliant new albums that we are already a little smitten with. Blushing? Who us? No. Surely not.
Our first musical love affairs of the year are a varied bunch too - from the chart-friendly sounds of Katy B to the ethereal rock of Mogwai, the high-brow pop of St Vincent to the soaring folk-soul of James Vincent McMorrow. The sheer diversity on display suggested 2914 will be every bit as tricky to pigeonhole as 2013 - and that is 100% a good thing.
