Weeks after it began, Prince fever still shows no signs of passing - and last night he performed two full sets at Kings Place in King's Cross.
The venue welcomed two batches of 420 fans for the intimate shows, but tickets cost a fairly hefty £70 - higher than the £10 that has been charged at Prince's previous shows.
Prince arrived in London earlier this month for a press conference, during which he failed to confirm anything about his London tour, instead choosing to perform a series of 'guerilla gigs'. Since then he's performed surprise sets at Shepherds Bush, Camden, and now King's Cross.
The singer performed songs such as 'Take Me With U', 'U Got The Look' and 'Raspberry Beret' acoustically, and also covered Bill Withers' 'Who Is He (And What Is He To You?)' and Clash's 'Train In Vain'. Following his acoustic opening, the backdrop rose to reveal a fully electric set-up.
Fans were then treated to a Q&A, in which he told an elaborate story detailing how funk innovator Larry Graham helped him to discover God.
Prince also revealed that he plans to perform at Koko tomorrow night (16 February) and Ronnie Scott's the following day (17 Feb) as part of his 'Hit and Run' tour. Prince's Northern fans will no doubt be pleased to hear that the singer also promised to perform in Manchester at some point next week.
