Glastonbury's Emerging Talent competition has been running for the best part of ten years now, originally started by festival stalwart Michael Eavis. It is comprised of a longlist of 120 acts who are whittled down all the way to one victor - who reaps the benefits of the kind of exposure only Glasto can bring.
Past winners have gone onto great things, being recognised as Glastonbury only being the first chapter in an extensive music career. All the bands are still going on strong with some even managing to land No.1 records along the way.
