Did you think no Glastonbury headliner could possibly be more talked about than Jay Z was in 2008? You poor, naive thing.
Since they were announced as the third and final headliner, alongside Arcade Fire and Kasabian, in early May, Metallica have barely been out of the headlines. Bombay Bicycle Club said they were "not a very good booking", Mogwai went a little stronger and described them as "unbelievably bad", whilst Mick Jagger insisted they're going to be "great." There's one thing strangely lacking from all these headlines, though. What do Metallica have to say about all this?
Admittedly, the band have given relatively few interviews since the announcement... but they've still teased enough information about their set that we can let them speak for themselves. Here's everything they've promised, hinted at or pondered upon with regards to their forthcoming headline show. There might be lasers. There might be a Dolly Parton duet. It's all to play for.
