It's wonderful when the artists that you love see the success that they deserve, when years of toil or immeasurable songwriting genius really pay off. On the flip-side, some absolute toss has proven to be pretty popular too.
These albums all got to No.1, despite being quite awful. People went out of their way to buy these records, spending actual currency to take them home, presumably to enjoy and not sacrifice. These albums outsold all others that week. People of the UK: this is why you can't have nice things.
