23 October: On this day in 2005, Arctic Monkeys landed their first ever No.1 single with the automatic classic 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' - marking their true arrival as kings of UK indie. It's one of their biggest tracks, but which is their best?
Putting this list together made us realise just how many cracking singles Arctic Monkeys have released. From the game-changing 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' through to the devious rocker of 'Arabella', Alex Turner and co have risen from Sheffield indie upstarts to Bonafide Rock Gods - consistently dropping critically-acclaimed albums while attacking the radio with hit after hit, and not a single duffer amongst them.
But which tops the list? Well, to help you decide, we've ranked each and every single in order of greatness from worst to best. What will be the true No.1 Party Anthem? Do you love a bit of a classic with 'Fake Tales Of San Francisco' or do you have a soft spot for 'Cornerstone'? Do you think 'Black Treacle' needs more love or do you just want to lose your mind to 'R U Mine'?
Well, here's what we think...
