Razorlight - ‘I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got’ (Vertigo) Released 19/03/07

You know when they discovered Saddam Hussein in that hole and he had a bushy beard and was eating fun sized Mars Bars? Well this hack felt a bit sorry for him and for a second forgot he was an evil, tyrannical twat of a dictator. The same feeling applies to the new Razorlight single. Yes we know J-Bo is an arrogant, preening tool of the highest order, but for three minutes of pop perfection we forget this and become lost in the song. ‘I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got’ is by far the highlight of the bands sophomore effort, a balls to the wall driving track that starts all spangly and jangly before putting pedal to metal and exploding into the chorus. So for a while forget the in- fighting, song writing rumours and Bono wannabe-isms and just sit back and admire Razorlight for what they are. A fantastic pop band.
