Say what you want about Gym Class Heroes but it can’t be denied that they’ve got a knack to writing a catchy song. And ‘The Queen and I’ feels a far more acceptable hit too, choosing the path of original song writing over the plundering of Neolithic samples. The subject isn’t one of heart wrenching epiphanies, yet a rap about someone being bad on too much of the sauce is certainly something that most people can relate to. And behind the fast words there’s a flamenco guitar hook that will stick with you quite unexpectedly. Expect this to score highly in a club near you.
Released 29/10/07 on Atlantic.
