'She's So Lovely', Scouting For Girls first single stayed in the UK Top 10 for six weeks proving that the bands light hearted blend of pop, heavily influenced by band favourites like Electric Furs, is well supported. The bands second single 'Elvis Ain't Dead' reeks of 70's favourite 'Blinded By The Light', the Manfred Man's Earth Band cover of the earlier original by Bruce Springsteen. Whilst Springsteen's version was predominately an acoustic, folksy number Manfred Mann turned the track into a driving rock anthem filled with Mann's Moog Synthesizer and organ mix. Scouting For Girls strip the driving rock element from proceedings here opting for an acoustic, electronic storm that leans on the bands established and much cherished nice as pie demeanour.
Released 10/12/07 on Epic.
