The Libertines have shared a new track, 'Heart of the Matter' from their upcoming album, Anthems for Doomed Youth, following it's delay until September 11.
'Heart of the Matter' is very much The Libertines operating their business-as-usual. Descending chord progressions and over-trebled guitars squeak and jangle before a reminiscent cabaret chorus melody kicks in as Pete asserts: "Let's get straight to the heart of the matter".
The long-awaited third Libertines album was scheduled to drop September 4 but was delayed to make room for their popular run of special events. These include photo exhibitions, a documentary screening, album listening parties and a pub quiz.
