Anyone who's ever had the privilege of seeing Ed Harcourt live will fully understand that feeling of standing aghast in amazement, with your heart rising to the back of your throat. He's an artist like no other. That's why while at Southsea Fest, we asked Ed to perform new track 'Immoral' for us upstairs at the King's Theatre.

"This is the first time I've played it on guitar," said Harcourt, introducing 'Immoral'. "So I'm just kind of, winging it. It's a track off my next album that I haven't recorded yet, but I'm doing with Flood."
He continued: "It's quite different, it's very dark, swampy and cinematic. The demo is very cinematic with these Massive Attack, Portishead rhythms going on."
We can't wait to hear the finished product, but for now, the stripped back version lays the template for a mighty powerful piece of work. With a pining howl, you get the sense that Harcourt is spitting brimstone as he plucks his way through the haunting lament.
