Sitting down with Gigwise in offices in East London, Sloth broke down how his grandfather's story of emigrating from the Seychelles to Liverpool, overcoming racial prejudice in the process, inspires him every day.
He also revealed that his morning routine focuses on positive affirmation: "I wake up every morning, look in the mirror and say 'You're the best. You are the sickest DJ in this world. And you look good! Give a little twirl. Yeah... Shake it!"
