With his effortlessly smooth blend of jazz, soul and blues, Tiggs Da Author won the hearts of the nation when he tore the roof off Later With Jools Holland when he performed 'Run' and the epic smash 'Georgia'. Now, if there's any justice he'll become a household name name in 2016 when his debut album drops.

"I started digging for music, searching, searching, searching, and the more you do that, the more knowledge you have," Tiggs told us of his youth, living in Tanzania as a boy before moving to London aged eight and getting into music after school. "It's like you're studying for an exam or something, and you've done all your research, and you hope you know enough."
He adds: "When I moved from Tanzania, I was too young, so I wasn't even into music... or I might hear a Michael Jackson song or whatever, and just like it 'cus I like his dancing, but I didn't think too deep of it. I wasn't even thinking about music, I wanted to play football."
Football's loss is music's gain - that's why we proud to host him at Gigwise presents Community Festival at XOYO earlier this month. You need this artist in your life.
