Karen O has unveiled the video for album cut 'Rapt' off of her first solo album. Check it out below.
Filled with waterlogged imagery, the video exacerbates the song's lo-fi, raw expression of emotion. Distorted yet intimate, 'Rapt' is an example of how honest O is as a songwriter.
'Rapt' is taken from her first solo album, Crush Songs, which will be released via Julian Casablancas' Cult Records label on September 9.

On working with Karen O, Casablancas says: "So excited, lucky and proud to be involved with such a classic album - I just wanna listen to it all day. Karen is an all-time great."
Speaking of the title, the singer of Yeah Yeah Yeahs fame, stated that "When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn't sure I'd ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours."
'Crush Songs,' described as a "collection of lo-fi, bedroom recordings," will be firsty available pre-release as a limited, special vinyl edition, incorporating Karen's own personal drawings and handwritten lyrics.
The debut solo album follows Karen O being nominated for an Academy Award earlier this year for her song 'The Moon Song,' taken from the Spike Jonze film 'Her'.
