David Bowie is set to re-release his 1975 single 'Fame' in beautiful picture disc form to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The song, which featured on Bowie's ninth studio album Young Americans, was first released on 24 July 1975 and will get its re-release on the same date this summer.
The catalyst for the song came when Bowie met John Lennon in late 1974, and Lennon began singing 'FAME!' over Carlos Alomar's guitar riff. Because of Lennon's contribution, he received a co-writing credit. It became Bowie's first No.1 hit in the US.
