The Prodigy's Mastermind Liam Howlett has spoken out about the conversations the band has had with David Bowie and Madonna.
Howlett has spoken to Mojo about turning down the oppurtunity to produce for both David Bowie and Madonna due to having no interest in either of them. “If it was Chuck D asking I would have done it, but they didn’t mean anything to me,” he tells the magazine.
The Prodigy toured with David Bowie and Howlett spoke about a conversation the two shared in Germany. He said "I remember Bowie coming into the dressing room when we did gigs together in Germany, we had some great chats about drugs and stuff. He was someone I gained respect for very quickly."
Speaking on Madonna, Howlett was very respectful, highlighting how Madonna had signed The Prodigy to her record label, Maverick, in America. He said "One thing I will say about Madonna is, she took the initiative herself to come and find us. I thought that was respect so we signed with her record label."
