Mumford & Sons have taken the top spot in this week's UK album charts with Wilder Mind, moving Blur's comeback record The Magic Whip to No.2.

Blur were the reigning champions last week, The Magic Whip went to No.1 which was trumped by Wilder Mind this week racking up a total of 81,300 sales, which was enough to hold Blur's first album in 15 years back from returning to the top spot.

According to the Official Charts Company, Mumford & Sons last dominated the charts back in 2012 with their second album Babel which was the fastest selling album of that year shifting 159,000 units, this week's reign proves their newly electrified outfit continues to work the charm.

In other album news, Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour returns to the top 5 at No.3, whilst Django Django's second album Born Under Saturn comes in at 15 and Palma Violet's Danger In The Club sits at 25.
