Black Grape have been added to Festival No.6 for a special anniversary show marking the release of their debut album.
Shaun Ryder and Kermit will take to the stage at the Welsh event on the 20th anniversary of 'It's Great When You're Straight...Yeah' which went to number 1 in 1995 and went on to become a platinum selling record.
Kermit Leveridge is a regular visitor to Festival No.6 explaining: "This will be my third year I've been to No.6 and I'm really looking forward to tearing it up with Black Grape...Festival No.6 is unique. It's a festival that has something for everybody, whether you wanna party hard or you’re a culture vulture. They always have great acts and it’s a beautiful backdrop."
Black Grape will join the likes of Grace Jones, Mark Ronson, Belle and Sebastian and Metronomy at the September event. Festival organiser Gareth Cooper spoke about his excitement for the addition: “Black Grape are one of the most influential bands of the 90’s – they were a genre busting revelation. It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah was literally the sound track to a thousand parties back in the day and still sounds fresh today. We’re hugely looking forward to bringing their madcap vibes to Portmeirion this September. It’s going to be one serious party!”

Shaun Ryder and Kermit recently ressurected the legendary 90s group for a series of comeback shows and a support show for Bez's run for election with his 'We Are The Reality' party.
