Blur are currently the bookies' favourites to replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury, after Dave Grohl broke his leg and was forced to cancel the band's forthcoming shows.

The Foos were playing at Gothenburg in Sweden last week (Friday 12 June), when Grohl fell a great height from the stage during 'Monkey Wrench'. He is said to have fell between a gap between a ramp and the audience, tumbling to the ground.

"I think I just broke my leg," said Grohl as he lay on the ground. "I'm going to go to hospital. I'm going to fix my leg. And then I'm going to come back. You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters - we're going to come back and finish the show."

While medics tended to Grohl backstage, the rest of the band played on with covers sung by drummer Taylor Hawkins, before Grohl came back with his leg in a cast to perform 'All My Life'.

Despite this display of stoicism, it seems the injury has now caught up with Grohl, and they will no longer headline the Friday night of Glastonbury Festival. Betting agency Paddy Power have now released their odds for the band's replacement - with Blur the 4/1 favourites, shortly ahead of Florence & The Machine (who is already scheduled to perform), Stone Roses and Taylor Swift.

Outside prospects include David Bowie, Prince, Adele and Oasis - so you can expect to make a small fortune if you're willing to take an optimistic punt.

Last week saw Glastonbury reveal the full stage and performance times for the entire festival (and naturally there are more than a few annoying schedule clashes).

Meanwhile, organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that next year's headliners are 'pretty much booked' - find out who they might be here
