Bastille's Dan Smith has prompted speculation on Twitter that his band will be performing a secret set at Glastonbury Festival next weekend.

The festival is being headlined this year by Kanye West, The Who and, as of yesterday, Florence + The Machine, and will also host hundreds of other massive names across its stages.

Every year though, a few surprise acts pop up unannounced to perform secret sets. In the past, these have ranged from The 1975 to Radiohead to The Kooks, and this year is sure to be no exception.

One fan, Kieran Jameson, heard a rumour that this year Bastille might be heading down this route, and decided to ask the band directly. "Alright fellas," he tweeted to the band's official Twitter account, which is run by lead singer Dan Smith. "What's this I hear about you doing a secret gig @GlastoFest on Friday, seen u there in 2013 an it was sick!!!!!"

Smith didn't directly respond to this, but he did retweet it - which certainly suggests that there might be some truth in it. Of course, we'll just have to wait and see.

Glastonbury 2015 takes place between 24 and 28 June at Worthy Farm, Somerset.
