California pop-punkers, Wavves have just released a new single entitled ‘Way Too Much’ and it rules.

Wavves are on a prolific spree at the moment, well, as prolific as a slacker-rock band can be. Having just released a collaborative LP with Cloud Nothings, No Life, the San Diego punks are fulfilling their promise of releasing two full-lengths in 2015.

'Way Too Much' cuts close to being the most Wavves inspired Wavves song. Nathan William's songwriting creeps into a deeper shade of worn out, groaning about 'conversations getting boring' and 'slowly sinking into nothing'. This all occurs atop a plume of stop-start fuzz and if it is the first taste of new material, their recipe for equal parts lethargy and electricity remains effective.

The group also revealed via Facebook that the single is part of a forthcoming album, saying rather simply: "album is called 'v'. fifth album. v. vv. vvv. a trilogy."
