To mark the 40th anniversary of Rod Stewart leaving Faces, the band will be reuniting for a charity concert.
On 5 September, Stewart will reform with Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones to play the Rock'n'Horsepower charity concert at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in Ewhurst, Surrey. This is the third annual charity concert organised by Stewart and Jones, all proceedings benefit Prostate Cancer UK.
In a statement, Jones said: “This is the third Rock ‘n’ Horsepower we’ve put on for Prostate Cancer UK and it’s shaping up to be the biggest yet.”
He continued: “The years of The Faces were some of the best of my life and I’m so proud to have been a part of the band. I’m unbelievably excited to have the opportunity to get up on stage with Rod and Ronnie again.”
Faces formed in 1969 after the disbanding of Small Faces featuring Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane and Kenney Jones. Rod Stewart and Ronnie joined the band, both from the Jeff Beck and thus Faces was born.
Stewart had initially planned to reunite with Faces as a part of their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. However, Stewart fell ill and had to cancel at the last minute.

A Faces reunion was teased back in 2013 to the protest of keyboardist Ian McLagan. Unfortunately, McLagan passed away late last year. Faces will also be missing bassist Ronnie Lane who died in 1997.
More recently, Rod Stewart teamed up for a track with California rapper A$AP Rocky for 'Everyday'.
