In true Coldplay style, their new album Head Full of Dreams, which is released on 4 December, will feature some great collaborations - including the heir to Queen Bey's throne, Blue Ivy. Chris Martin, who is the frontman of the British four-piece revealed to the Wall Street Journal, "Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives."
Blue Ivy, who was named earlier this year alongside North West as one of the world’s richest celebrity kids, will feature on a track called 'Hymn On The Weekend' - a song that was created with a club feel in mind.
Martin also noted, “The original kernel was that I was listening to Flo Rida or something, and I thought, its such a shame that Coldplay could never have one of those late-night club songs, like 'Turn Down for What.' What would we call it if we have one?”
Although this collaboration may not come as surprise, due to Martin’s well known friendship with Jay Z and Beyoncé, the album incorporates a “choir” of a mixture of records, which comprises a few of the bands close friends, family and children.
Martin explained, “The 'choir' started with my two kids coming in after school and recording. We recorded Blue Ivy in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio. It comes from learning about Greek tragedy, where the chorus chimes in at times. To me, when we use that sound, it’s to affirm what I’m saying.”
Featuring on her father's track 'Glory,' when she was only two days old, and having a song completely dedicated to her on her mother’s self-titled album, Blue Ivy will surely provide some jaw-dropping vocals on Coldplay’s upcoming album.
Meanwhile another track will feature one very famous ex. Martin's former wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, will sing on a track called 'Everglow,' which will reflect on their ten years of marriage.
