This morning, we bring you bumper Coldplay news. They've unveiled the video for 'Adventure Of A Lifetime', a new song 'Everglow' from their forthcoming new album, and announced that they'll be performing on the X Factor final at Wembley Stadium. All this comes ahead of their 2016 UK and European tour, for which you can buy tickets below.
The 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' video sees a bunch of chimps discover the song and rapidly evolve into standing, dancing, guitar-playing Coldplay fans. It came about after Chris Martin bumped into motion capture whiz Andy Serkis on a flight.
If you're willing to put aside the horrific product placement at the start of the video, and the fact that the motion capture technology doesn't quite rival Planet Of The Apes, it's a pretty fun watch.

The band have also unveiled a brand new track, 'Everglow'. With a poignant piano opening, before the rolling drumbeat kicks in alongside Chris Martin's airy vocals, the song is the sort of glowing-wristbands-in-the-air style ballad that Coldplay are so fond of. There's a twist though - Martin's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, from whom he "consciously uncoupled" last year, provides backing vocals - making lines such as, "I'm gonna miss ya, I know" somewhat more moving.
Speaking to Zane Lowe, who premiered the song on his Beats Radio show, Chris Martin said, "I was in the ocean one day with this surfer guy, who spoke just like you'd imagine a surfer guy to speak ... He was like, 'Yo dude, I was doing this thing the other day man, it gave me this total everglow!' I was like, 'What an amazing word!' Then the song came completely out.
"To me, it's about – whether it's a loved one or a situation or a friend or a relationship that's finished, or someone's passed away – I was thinking about, after you've been through the sadness of something, you also get this everglow. That's what it's about."

As if that wasn't enough Coldplay news to bombard you with, they've also been announced as guest performers on The X Factor final, which takes place at Wembley Arena on 12-13 December.
