John Newman has just announced a one-off tour date for 2016. Performing at the Yorkshire Forest Live show on Saturday 25 June, the born-and-bred North Yorkshire singer will be returning to his hometown county.
The venue, which is held in Dalby Forest, will feature Newman and a lineup of special guests. The independent programme will feature performances from artists such as Elbow's Guy Garvey, Simply Red, and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, and is organised by the Forestry Commission to bring brand new audiences to forests. The money raised by the concerts goes towards protecting, improving, and expanding England's forests, woodlands and wildlife.
The new soul artist first came to the nation's attention after working alongside Rudimental for the No.1 single 'Feel The Love', and then releasing his No 1 platinum selling debut album Tribute, which featured the singles 'Cheating', 'Losing Sleep', and his massive hit 'Love Me Again'.
Now Newman is looking forward to playing songs from his sophomore album Revolve, which includes the lead single 'Come And Get It'.
In a recent press statement, John Newman said, “I have heard a lot about the famous Dalby Forest gigs and I am extremely pleased to be playing there as it will be a home county gig for me. I hope you can join me and my band to make it a really special night out amongst the trees.”
