All Tomorrow's Parties 2.0, curated by Drive Like Jehu, will now take place at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, rather than Pontins in Prestatyn.
The festival marks Jehu's first UK appearance in over 20 years, and will also host Hot Snakes and Rocket From The Crypt amongst other eclectic acts. It was originally due to take place in the Welsh seaside resort of Prestatyn, but it's now been moved to somewhere, well, nowhere near.
ATP 2.0 will now take place in Manchester's Victoria Warehouse. In a statement, the festival insisted, "The new venue provides an innovative space which compliments the visceral energy of Drive Like Jehu and their hand selected line-up, and is ideally situated for ATP’s nationwide and international audience."
As for the Stewart Lee-curated ATP, which was recently hit with cancellation rumours after the Pontins told customers that "organisers had canlled the event", that's still set to go ahead in Prestatyn as planned. "The change for Drive Like Jehu’s festival does not affect Stewart Lee’s event on 15-17th April", said the statement, "where we have exclusive use of the Pontins site at Prestatyn, North Wales."
The Stewart Lee curated ATP takes place from 15-17 April and features The Fall, Sleaford Mods, Roky Erickson, Sun Ra Arkestra, a comedy set from Lee and more, while the Drive Like Jehu event takes place from 22-24 April at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse and also features Rocket From The Crypt, Diamanda Galas, Omar Souleyman, Metz, Wire and loads more.
