Teresa May's firm stance on Brexit has riled young London band Shame and they've posted a song with accompanying visual to strike back. Check it out below.

The band were one of the most well-celebrated at Eurosonic over the weekend are on the verge of becoming one of the country's biggest indie bands. To see someone in an influential position like that to stand up and speak out about what they see as injustice shows a turning of the tides - music is increasingly wearing its political colours.

The song is the most chilled we've ever heard this usually quite manic parade. They play with jangly guitars and sing with sweet melancholic psychedelic pop tones and a peppering of sweet reverb. The chorus is quite simply: "Teresa May won't you let me stay," and suggests the sadness that a lot of Europeans currently settled in the UK are experiencing in not knowing what their future may entail and likewise what Brit's living in the EU are feeling.

They incorporate a bit of Question Time's David Dimbleby says: "Teresa May is against gay adoption and against transexuals changing their gender."

Another young band who are fast gaining pace are unafraid to speak out called Cabbage are resonating a lot more in their views than the politicians who's every speech is isolating the youth of today.

Meanwhile, Audioslave have reformed in opposition to Trump. Green Day put out a video expressing their dismay. And ANOHNI and Coco Rosie released their protest song, 'Smoke Em Out.'

It's a heavy week for a lot of people.
