The xx performed the swooning 'Say Something Loving' when they appeared as the musical guests on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night. Check out the performance below.
Appearing on the US chat show in support of their new record I See You, the London trio also played album track 'Lips' live for the TV audience, with 'Say Something Loving' being recorded exclusively for online streaming.
Bringing their monochrome aesthetic to the live setting, the appearance made us even more excited for their upcoming tour. As ever, their live show packs more punch than on record, with Jamie xx unleashing booming electronics from his lightbox of samples and percussion.
Tracks from the new record were given their first live airing when the trio appeared on another huge US show, Saturday Night Live back in November.
Elsewhere, the band dropped by Radio 1's Live Lounge last week, where they performed lead single 'On Hold' alongside a stripped-back version of Drake and Rihanna's 'Too Good'. Speaking of their emotionally-raw version exposing Drake's deep lyrics, Romy Madley Croft went on to name him a "secret emo".
The xx head out on their huge European tour next month, which includes a seven night stint at London's Brixton Academy. We can't wait.
