Liam Gallagher, Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro have been booked for new Glasgow festival TRNSMT, according to the Daily Record.
Although the organisers of the festival, set for 7-9 July on Glasgow Green as a replacement for T In The Park which is taking a break in 2017, haven’t confirmed the bookings, the newspaper claims that Radiohead will headline the 35,000 capacity event on Friday night, with Kasabian topping the bill on Saturday and Biffy Clyro closing out the festival on Sunday night.
Foals, Belle and Sebastian, Twin Atlantic, Franz Ferdinand and Two Door Cinema Club were also rumoured to be in talks to appear at the “family-friendly” shindig. Gallagher’s appearance, if confirmed, would be a key show in launching his solo career – the Oasis frontman has been recording his solo album since October 2016 and has confirmed festival slots at Benicassim in Spain, XIT Festival in Serbia and Bergenfest in Norway.
Update 19:24 (27/1/17): **It has since emerged that Liam Gallagher is not playing this festival he Tweeted saying he's not playing and said "stay cool and bware of knobheads."
