There surely can't be another artist in the country with as much of a mass appeal as 'Castle On The Hill' and 'Thinking Out Loud' star Ed Sheeran right now. He announced a huge live arena tour and sold out Glastonbury style.
To help accommodate the fans, he managed to add on a third 02 arena date - meaning 60,000 people in London alone will see him live.
Sheeran is still rumoured to headline Glastonbury festival on Efestivals website so will exponentially increase his live reach with the masses there if he gets announced.
Since Sheeran returned after a year out he has been gradually building his album campaign for album, Divide in 2017. He first released teaser’s with names of the song and the blue colour of his album cover, then released the 'Castle On The Hill' and 'Shape Of You' audio simultaneously.
Since then videos for each of the global hits have come out. ‘Shape Of You’ – the most recent – has amassed, at the time of writing, over 27 million views in three days.
‘Shape Of You’ has an r'n'b pop feel and has great dancefloor potential whereas ‘Castle On The Hill’ is more of a nostalgic, Mumford & Sons type tune with a meditation on home after years of making it high up in the music industry.
Ed Sheeran is currently on tour. Check here for ticket information.
