A number of bands and musicans, including Placebo and Rufus Wainwright are set to participate in special events for the first London Sundance Film and Music Festival.
Hollywood actor and director Robert Redford is to bring the critically-acclaimed festival to UK shores for the first time in history, from the 26th to 29th April 2012. The o2 arena, London, will host the 14 films which are in competition for awards at the festival.
Placebo have already confirmed an initimate concert for the Sundance Opening Night event, and will premiere their new music documentary Coming Up For Air at the festival.
Rufus and Martha Wainwright will also perform an show following the screening of the documentary about their folk singer mother, Kate McGarrigle.
Other films included in the festival selection shortlist include LCD Soundsystem documentary 'Shut Up and Play the Hits'.
