Warpaint have revealed an elderly neighbour called the police to complain about the noise they made whilst recording their latest album - and even said it was making her "nauseous".

Drummer Stella Mozgawa told MTV News that herself and fellow Warpaint members Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman and Jenny Lee Lindberg were recording the track 'Disco//Very' when the incident occured.

"That was just something that we were playing for probably 45 minutes and then the cops showed up," Mozgawa revealed. "They said that there was an elderly woman down the street that was feeling nauseous because of the music and they'd like us to stop."

Warpaint's second self-titled album, the follow up to 2010's The Fool, is due for release on January 20, and features the beautifully melancholic lead single 'Love Is to Die'. Vocalist Theresa Wayman has previously described the record to The Guardian as a "sexy" album.
