Mark Foster of US band Foster The People has spoken out about their new album Supermodel, stating that he struggled with anger in the writing process.
Speaking to NME in a recent interview, he admitted that now, when he looks back at the songs he's written he realises just how angry he really was. Of the record he said, "It's like a time capsule of thoughts and ideas and the things I was struggling with at the time."
The new album Supermodel is the follow-up to Foster The People's debut release Torches, which was released back in 2011. Foster also revealed that there are a few themes running throughout the record, saying "One of the biggest themes is consumerism and the ugly side of capitalism."

In regards to moving on from their debut, he added: "There are songs that act as a bridge that fans of the first record will grab onto, but also songs that show a side that wasn't there at all."
Supermodel is set for release on March 18th 2014.
