X Factor winner Leona Lewis has left Simon Cowell's record label after seven years, and signed a new deal with Island Records.
The singer, who won the third series of The X Factor in 2006, released four albums with Syco Music. Her fourth album though, Christmas, With Love, was Lewis's lowest charting album to date, peaking at No. 13 in the UK albums chart.
It's these disappointing sales figures that reportedly led to her being "dropped" from Syco - but she has signed a new deal with Island Records, the label who are responsible for artists including Drake, Bombay Bicycle Club, Florence + The Machine and Nicki Minaj.
Congratulations Leona. We had 7 great years together and now wish you all the best for the future. You put X Factor on the map. X

In a statement, Lewis said: "After seven incredible years at Sony I feel honoured to be given the opportunity to sign to perhaps the most iconic label of all, Island Records."
She added, "To me, Island has always been a label where artists can really flourish and are encouraged to express themselves. Island stands for quality music and signing with such a legendary label is really like a dream come true for me. I can't wait to start making music with my new team."
Lewis's debut album Spirit went 10x platinum in the UK upon its release in 2007, and its hit single 'Bleeding Love' was the biggest selling song of 2007 in the UK, and the second biggest selling song of 2008 in the US.
