Paul Weller recently hit out at reunion culture, saying that he 'doesn't give a fuck about bands reforming'.

In an interview with NME ahead of T In The Park festival,  the modfather said in regards to bands reforming, specifically The Libertines "I don't care".

He continued: "Good luck to them, I like The Libertines, I love the first two albums. It's no good asking me about what do I think about bands getting back together because I don't give a fuck about it really."

Weller did mention his admiration for both Jake Bugg and Arctic Monkeys, he said "They're great songwriters, both saying something about their time and generations."

When asked about how his new album was coming along, Weller said that "I've got half of it done, I'm gonna finish off in September, so it will will probably be out early next year hopefully."

The modfather also spoke about his new compilation album More Modern Classics, that reached No.6 in the UK Album Charts. He said "because I realise how much time had gone down in-between the first (compilation ablum), it's 15 years and there's an awful lot of material, so I thought it was a good enough time to do it now."

He added "You can't help but re-evaluate your work when you look at it all as a body like that, but mainly I thought it's got better. That was my main impression."
