Pop legends Duran Duran have filed a lawsuit against their own fan club for $40,000 - for failing to deliver on several agreements in their contract with the band.

The club was managed by the company Worldwide Fan Clubs, but now The Chicago Sun Times reports that the 80s pop icons have filed a lawsuit against them for failing to deliver on several agreements from a contract signed in 2010 where WFC signed up to create and manage the band's fan club.

It is said that the band are owed several payments.

WFC reportedly agreed to be responsible for the sales and inventory of Duran’s merch, collecting membership fees, and maintaining accounting records, while splitting the profits  in the ratio of 75-25 in favor of Duran.

Duran Duran's lawyers argue that that WFC failed to keep accurate financial records are yet to deliver the agreed payments.

Meanwhile, the band are currently working on their 14th studio album, the follow-up to 2010's acclaimed All You Need Is Now.
