Bad news for Hole fans - it looks like Courtney Love has gone back on her plans to reform and tour the band's classic line-up.
The line-up of Love, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Eric Erlandson and Patty Schemel last recorded together when they made the seminal Celebrity Skin back in 1998, before disbanding in 2002 and briefly reuniting in 2012. Love released Nobody's Daughter, a Hole album with a new line-up, in 2010. Then back in April, Love told The Quietus that they are back together once again.
"I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was," she said. "We already played like three or four times in the last week."
But now, it looks like any kind of real reunion is off - after Love told The Philippine Daily Inquirer that she 'doesn't want to get on the oldies circuit'.
"I don’t need to do that for money," she said. "I want to put out music that is relevant today. [Being] one of the last chicks in a rock ‘n’ roll band is a weird place to be. It’s scary not to be selling out."

Meanwhile, Love will instead be focussing on a new solo album this year, as well as hear guest cameo in Sons Of Anarchy and making a Kurt Cobain biopic movie.
