Survivor frontman and singer of the Baywatch theme tune 'I'm Always Here', Jimi Jamison has died aged 63.

The rock veteran joined Survivor in 1984 following their smash hit, 'Eye of the Tiger'. He went on to sing on huge tracks such as 'The Moment of Truth' from "The Karate Kid', 'The Search Is Over' and 'Burning Heart' from Rocky IV.

His booking agent Sally Irwin has told TMZ that he died of a heart attack at his home in Memphis, after Survivor had performed in Northern California just the night before.

Paying tribute on their official Facebook page, Survivor wrote: "The entire Survivor family is very shocked and saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his family and friends."
