Ahead of her debut solo LP 'Crush Songs' out next week, Karen O has released 'Day Go By'. Listen to it and read the hand-written lyrics below.

Songs featuring on the forthcoming album were written in 2006 and 2007, around the time of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' second album, Show Your Bones. "When I was 27, I crushed a lot," the singer explained. "These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are a soundtrack to what was an ever-continuing love crusade."

Listen to 'Day Go By' Below.

The album, released through Julian Casablancas' Cult Records label, will see Karen O celebrating the release by playing a small number of intimate shows in New York and Los Angeles. She will be playing in the UK later in the year, with two dates at London's Bush Hall on 4 and 5 October. Tickets are available here.
