Megadeth has cancelled their performances on the upcoming Motorhead's Motorboat cruise.
The band was supposed to headline the cruise, which starts from Miami on 22 September. Unfortunately, Megadeth had to pull out of the event because frontman Dave Mustaine is still recovering from back surgery.
Megadeth announced the unfortunate news in a statement on their website:
'Due to complications arising from a cervical spine surgery, and upon his doctor's strict recommendation, Dave Mustaine has cancelled all the performances for the next 8 weeks. With rest and treatment, he is expected to recover and resume performing soon. The band was looking forward to performance and is disappointed that they will not be able to see their fans. Megadeth expects to return to the road and will see their fans soon!'
However, two members of Megadeth, David Ellefson and Chris Broderick, will still go on the cruise and perform as a part of an all-star band Metal Allegiance.

Motorboat cruise sails from Miami on September 22, going through Key West, Florida and Cozumel, returning on 26 September.
Motorhead's Motorboat is billed as 'the ultimate music festival cruise vacation for Motorheadbangers from around the globe'. The line-up includes Anthrax, Testament, Down, Zakk Wylde, High On Fire, Jim Brever Band, Cilver and others.
