Paul McCartney has appealed to the public to support his Meat Free Mondays campaign.
The commited vegetarian (and musical icon) has recorded a video message asking people to absain from eating meat for just one day a week, in order to reduce their carbon footprint. The plea comes ahead of next week's UN Global Summit.
Meat Free Mondays was set up by McCartney and his fashion designer daughter Stella, together with Gregory Barker MP, Climate Advisor to David Cameron.
