Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace has responded to rumours that former bandmate Jay Weinberg has joined Slipknot, saying, "Good luck with that. #shitbag."
Weinberg quit Against Me! in 2012, and Grace told Spin, "I just woke up one morning and read on Twitter that he was leaving the band." Slipknot, meanwhile, parted ways with their former drummer Joey Jordison in 2013, with Jordison insisting, "I did not quit Slipknot."
As NME reports, rumours have since begun circulating that Slipknot have recruited Weinberg as their new drummer, after the band posted a video of the band's new masks.
Laura Jane Grace subsequently sent a series of less than flattering tweets referring to Weinberg, who is Bruce Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg's son.
Dear Slipknot, good luck with that. #shitbag
