Blink 182 have revealed they are set to start work on a new album in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Wondering Sound, frontman and guitarist Tom Delonge revealed details of the pop-punk trio's forthcoming schedules, detailing the band will have their "very first big writing session" soon, where they plan to "get together and lay down our first tracks" for the album.
Delonge then went on to explain that the band were aiming to release a new record in summer 2015, but as is the case with working schedules that is a somewhat tenuous plan at this moment in time.
Blink 182 last released new material in 2012 with the Dogs Eat Dogs EP, their most recent full length studio album was 2011's Neighbourhoods.

2014 has already been pretty massive for Blink 182, with the trio headlining Reading and Leeds Festivals earlier this summer, and their acclaimed third album Enema of the State celebrating its 15th anniversary this month.
In other Blink related news, Tom Delonge will release a new album with side project Angels & Airwaves on Halloween.
