Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that 'The Osbournes' will be returning to television screens nearly a decade after the hugely successful MTV series came to an end.

The family drama, centering on Ozzy and Sharon, made huge celebrities out of their chidren, Kelly and Jack and first aired between 2002 and 2005. All four of them will return to the series, however the show will now be aired on VH1, MTV's sister network instead.

"Ozzy's decided he wants to do another few episodes, about eight, of The Osbournes," Sharon said. "It's been 13 years since we first did it. He said for the three years we did [the show] he was drunk the whole time and he'd like to be sober."

No doubt son, Jack will be pleased with the plans. He has previously spoken out of his disappointed with the public perception of his father from the show saying the 'senile, bumbling guy' that his father came across as was not him.

“Yeah, my dad can be that guy, but it’s not him. I think that almost discredited who he is as an artist. My dad’s not an idiot — he’s nothing short of a genius, in my opinion.”

We can't wait to see what the Prince of Darkness and his brood have in store for us this time round.

Ozzy Osbourne was recently honoured with the Global Icon Award at the MTV EMA Awards after announcing that the last ever Black Sabbath record will be recorded in 2015.
