U2 have been accused of cashing in on the Troubles in Northern Ireland, after photos emerged of their latest music video being filmed in Belfast, complete with bomb blasts and injured victims.
As the Belfast Telegraph reports, Belfast residents have complained not only about the disruption caused by filming in the Village area of the city (one man said cars on set had stopped social workers being able to park), but also about the poor taste of the video's themes.
Residents of Belfast have told the paper that the re-creation of a bomb attack, which includes burning vehicles, soldiers and injured victims, had brought back painful memories of the Troubles.

A spokesperson for the production company behind the shoot has defended the video, saying, "It has been taken out of all proportion. We have no further commented to make."
U2 released their latest album, Age Of Innocence, earlier in the year, uploading it free of charge onto every iTunes user's account.
