Last week, Beth Jeans Houghton revealed her reinvention as Du Blonde, and in turn exhibited her new direction with the release of 'Black Flag', the bold, brash and unafraid first track lifted from her upcoming album.
With rumbling drums, searing guitar and a punchy, visceral vocal, 'Black Flag' is a taster of the kind of heated and raw rock stylings that are to be expected from the album. Fans of Du Blonde will be shocked to find such an immense change from baroque pop to punky rage.
Du Blonde herself had to say of 'Black Flag' that it "is a good representation of the direction of the album. There are a few quieter, thoughtful tracks but the general mood is one of finally cracking." 'Black Flag' is available to download for free from Du Blonde's website here.
