When they made Frozen in 2013, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck created a film that was both critically and commercially successful (the latter phenomenally so), and which appealed to children and adults alike. So the news that a sequel has been officially confirmed should come as a surprise to no-one.
We'll try not to be cynical here - perhaps there was more of Anna and Elsa's story that just needed to be told - but we can't help but wish they'd let massively successful sleeping dogs lie.
The film won two Academy Awards - Best Animated Film and Best Original Song for 'Let It Go', which Adele Dazeem (AKA Idina Menzel) performed at the Oscars ceremony. Expect another huge run of radio-dominating singles to follow.

As well as this ubiquitous ear worm, the film, which is loosely based on Hans Christian Anderen's The Snow Queen, also includes songs such as 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman?', 'Love Is An Open Door' and 'For The First Time In Forever'.
The film's original directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, are set to return to direct the sequel, which was announced during Disney's annual shareholders meeting (how magical!).
Meanwhile, Idina Menzel will be touring (and surely playing Frozen songs) on an upcoming UK tour. See below for dates and ticket details.
