The National performed live at the MusicNOW Festival on Friday in their first live show of 2015.

Set up by the band's guitarist Bryce Dessner, the group were joined at the sensational Ohio event by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry - who stood in for Aaron Dessner as his wife is expecting a baby.

Other stand-outs from this year's MusicNOW festival include the Dessner/Sufjan Stevens/Nico Muhly collaborative piece, Planetarium and performances from Arcade Fire's Will Butler and Perfume Genius.
